Name your first customer

A service for businesses is too broad to guide feature choices. Describe a specific team, its recurring task and the person who approves spending. An operator might manage conversations across several channels while a manager monitors outstanding inquiries. One complete workflow like this can define the first release.

Take the user to a useful outcome

Registration alone does not establish product value. Map the path from signing in to a first result: create an organisation, connect a channel, invite a colleague and handle an inquiry. Identify where someone would need developer assistance. If setup is initially manual, plan that support explicitly and assign an owner.

Organisations are part of the foundation

When several companies use a service, define which organisation owns each record, file and membership. Discuss invitations, ownership transfer and removing employees. Data isolation cannot wait until there are many customers. In Bots CS, the multitenant model supports separate clients and their own bot scenarios within one SaaS product.

Keep pricing rules understandable

Start with a small set of limits that reflects the service’s value. Decide what happens when a limit is reached or a paid period ends: block new actions, allow existing data to be read, or direct the customer to support. Define trial access and cancellation separately. Complex discounts can come later.

Give support a way to help

Even a small product needs customer lookup, a history of important events and understandable error information. Otherwise every question becomes a developer searching the database. A minimal operations panel should support troubleshooting while respecting access permissions. Decide which support actions must leave an audit record before the first customer arrives.

Define what earns the next release

Before launch, describe the evidence that would justify further development: customers complete the main workflow, return to it and are willing to discuss payment. Collect reasons for abandonment and support questions. Use that evidence to choose the next features. An MVP should test a direction, not merely produce a small set of screens.
